Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 and CMMIL3 certified, a Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) was incorporated on 24th March, 1995 under the Companies Act, 2013 (erstwhile the Companies Act, 1956) by Government of India with 100% equity share capital of BECIL held by President of India through Secretary and Joint Secretary of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.

BECIL's growth story is its transformation from a broadcast engineering consultancy organization to a diversified, skilled and highly efficacious project management company, with an ever-growing and enviable list of successful project executions under its belt.
BECIL views the skill development as a segment of huge strategic importance for nation building, particularly given India's population dividend, which places it in an enviable position to become the skill capital of the world. In the skilling segment, BECIL is a pioneer Government Organization in providing workforce management services to various marquee organizations in the Government, Semi-Government and private segments.
BECIL is providing workforce in various categories such as Professional, Technical, Non-technical, Skilled, Semi-skilled, Unskilled and Highly Skilled. The organization has clear ambitions of growing in this segment through backward integration into skill training, assessment management and content development, targeted at providing greater value for its customers.
Workforce management, and onsite workforce outsourcing services are a significant contributor to BECIL’s top-line, with a revenue of more than 800 Crores in the past 4 years, showcasing the importance of this vertical in BECIL’s vision.
More recently, NCVET have recognised BECIL as an Awarding Body (AB-DUAL). BECIL with its experience in project management, skilling and strong understanding of industry workforce needs, wants to contribute to nation building through skill development, and participate in our Prime Minister’s vision of making India the ‘Skill Capital of the World’.
